Court rental is the day's hard cost. It is split evenly among every team playing that night.
Teams that register for play are required to pay their share up front, via Stripe or Square, before game day. Your night isn't confirmed until your share is paid.
Referees are added the same way — two refs at $30 each, or one ref at a $40 minimum — and split across the teams playing.

Real answers, a little humor, and the standard we hold - which starts with you.
Player development, plain and simple. We build better players through instructional, collaborative coaching, clear and kind communication, and real empathy and compassion. Here's the part nobody prints on a flyer: it starts with the parents. The standard we set on the floor is the same one we expect in the stands.
Leave your ego at the door - right next to any baggage that won't help us build a positive environment for our kids. Cheer loudly, coach never (that part's covered), and model the composure you want to see in your player. Lead by example; little eyes are always watching, and they remember everything - especially the postgame snack situation.
On purpose. Seating is limited and the league is invite-only for a reason: small keeps coaching personal, gyms focused, and the culture high. We'll always choose quality of experience over size of crowd.
Please do. If you know a team that fits the culture - or you've got thoughtful feedback for us - drop us a line. Good ideas and kind candor are always welcome. (Live officiating reviews shouted from the third row... slightly less so.)
Because we're not in this to pad anyone's pockets. We don't lead with hefty fees for our own gain - we cover the real hard costs (court and refs), split them fairly, and keep the focus where it belongs: on the kids.
Yes. Your coaches and league directors carry every requirement needed for your child to take the floor in the Coalition League - credentials and certifications in hand before the first whistle.
Two waivers, both up front: a photo release waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian, and a participation waiver for playing at Shoot 360 in Queen Creek, AZ. Both are required before your child is eligible. Quick signatures, then it's game on.
Everything you need to get your team on the floor.
Same expectations as our parents - they apply to you, too. We asked you to join this league based on what we've seen: your ability to coach and develop your players with a positive mindset. We trust you'll bring that same level of executive leadership to this opportunity. With that said, here are the details on cost, requirements, and a few FYIs.
A Creditable Coaching Certificate for every coach and assistant coach, plus a current Certificate of Liability (COI) for your team - all uploaded before your first game through the reservation form.
Court rental and referees are the night's hard costs, split evenly among the teams playing that night. The Mambas front the full amount to the facility, then collect each team's share. Pay your share by Square or Stripe - your night is locked once it's in.
Use the reservation form above: pick your night, share your team details, and upload your paperwork. We'll confirm by email.
Thursday nights at Shoot 360 in Queen Creek, generally 7:00-8:00 PM, with the occasional week shifted to Tuesday around facility availability. Times are confirmed month to month.
Instructional and collaborative, always. We communicate clearly and kindly, lead with empathy, and measure success by development - not just the scoreboard. It's the same standard we ask of our parents.
Spots are limited and we vet for culture fit. If you've got a team that belongs, send it our way through the feedback line and we'll take a look.
No - matching uniforms are not required. What we do require is coordinated colors, so every player on your roster is clearly identifiable as one team. We totally get that players forget things; we expect you to keep extra gear on hand whenever possible so no one sits out over a missing jersey.
Right below, in the League Rules section. Every coach is responsible for knowing them and coaching to them. Jump to League Rules.
Coalition Basketball League - Queen Creek, AZ. Standard defaults below; values are easy to adjust to how we run.
These rules keep play safe, fair, and focused on development. Every coach is responsible for knowing them and modeling them. Anything an official or these rules don't cover defaults to current NFHS high school rules, with the league director's interpretation final.
Open to invited K-12 teams, boys and girls, across Recreational, Competitive, AAU, Circuit, and ADA (Other) levels. Players compete in their own grade division unless approved to play up by the league director.
Before a player is eligible, the team must have a current Certificate of Liability (COI) on file, and each player must have a photo release waiver and a Shoot 360 participation waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Every coach and assistant coach must have a current Creditable Coaching Certificate on file.
Standard sizing, adjustable by division: grades K-2 use a 27.5" ball on an 8 ft rim; grades 3-4 use a 27.5" ball on a 9 ft rim; grades 5-6 use a 28.5" ball on a 10 ft rim; grades 7-8 use a 28.5" (girls) or 29.5" (boys) ball on a 10 ft rim; grades 9-12 use a 28.5" (girls) or 29.5" (boys) ball on a 10 ft rim.
Games are two 18-minute halves on a running clock, with a 3-minute halftime and a 5-minute warmup. The clock stops on whistles only inside the final minute of the second half. Games are scheduled in a one-hour window, so please be warmed up and ready at your tip-off time.
Standard scoring: one point per free throw, two inside the arc, three beyond it. Each team gets three timeouts per game that do not carry between halves. If the score is tied at the end of regulation, one two-minute overtime is played; regular-season games may end in a tie if still level after one overtime.
A team enters the bonus (one-and-one) on the opponent's seventh team foul of the half and the double bonus (two shots) on the tenth. A player fouls out on the fifth personal foul. Younger divisions may shoot free throws from a shortened line at the official's discretion.
To keep the focus on skill development: no full-court press in grades K-4. Full-court pressing is allowed from grade 5 up, but a team that leads by 15 or more must drop the press and pull back into half-court defense until the margin falls below 15. Coach the game in front of you - running up the score is not the standard here.
Substitutions are free on any dead ball. A team needs at least four players present to start; with fewer, the game may be played as a scrimmage or rescheduled at the league director's discretion. Developmental divisions are encouraged to share playing time fairly.
When a team leads by 20 or more, the clock runs continuously and the leading team is expected to ease off - no pressing, empty the bench, and work on development. In the youngest divisions, the scoreboard may be turned off once the margin gets lopsided.
Zero tolerance for abuse directed at officials, players, coaches, or fans. A technical foul is assessed for unsportsmanlike conduct; two technicals on the same person results in ejection. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their bench and their spectators. Leave egos at the door and lead by example - the kids are always watching.
Matching uniforms are not required, but every team must wear coordinated colors so players are clearly identifiable as one team. Players forget things - keep extra gear on hand whenever possible so no one misses play over a missing jersey.
Two referees are preferred, with one as the minimum. Officials' judgment calls are final and are not subject to protest. Questions about rule interpretation should go to the league director, not the official, during a dead ball or after the game.
All play is hosted at Shoot 360 in Queen Creek, AZ. Respect the staff, the space, and Shoot 360's house policies. Clean up your bench area, and arrive and clear the floor on time so the next group can use it.
Court rental and referee fees are hard costs split evenly among the teams playing that night; the Mambas front the total and collect each team's share, and a night is confirmed once the share is paid. If you must cancel or can't field a team, notify the league director as early as possible - court and referee costs already committed may still apply.
